Aliyu Balarabe is currently the Rector of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto. He was appointed by the visionary Governor of Sokoto State Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto as part of his people oriented programme to invigorate and galvanise development in the Education Sector for the Socio-economic development of the state and the Country in general.
